The current school board and administration lied to us, violating three of their stated core values of Trust, Transparency and Integrity when they reported that our former Superintendent, Brian Yearwood, was retired when in fact he was fired.
No one understands why we are paying Dr. Yearwood almost $750,000 plus possible reimbursement of legal fees to “go away.” This shows poor stewardship as almost 85% of the property tax money district homeowners pay that goes directly to CPS.
Why is the current board in such a rush to replace Dr. Yearwood and not allowing for more thorough search and perhaps newly elected voices to assist on the number one job of the board? We can’t fail again at this.
